My question involves insurance law for the state of: Illinois
In regards to my wife. Basically shes getting a bunch of medical bills in the mail now saying that she was never covered by BCBS since she was eligible to get on my insurance plan a year ago. So everything in that year span they are taking back what they paid and im getting bills from the doctors/offices with the full payment. She elected to stay on her fathers insurance until turning 26 years of age (per whatever under 26 law that is) because it would save us money and everything was fine until they started revoking payments. They even sent her a new card last year. From what I've read you can stay on your parents insurance until you are 26 years old regardless of martial status and all that good stuff. Please help. I don't have a few grand laying around to pay bills for this crap. Let me know what I can do or if I can do anything. :grumpy:
