My question involves criminal law for the state of: Washington State
My good friend was convicted for a sex offense back in 2011 If I can recall, he was around 17 years old and so was the girl he was texting. She sent a nude photo - He turned 18 and was charged. I can only assume the following: Her parents found out so she blamed him for magically forcing her. She got mad at him for something or paranoid that he had her photo.
He went to prison for a year and even went back for 2 weeks recently for going on facebook. He has to do ridiculous therapy for a while and is on probation for 4 years, can't live/go near elementary schools, parks, and leave the county.
Is there anything that could get him out of this? It's so ridiculous. Petition? Lawyer? Too late?
Change of laws?
