My local tax office filed for a summary judgement against me for unpaid taxes. I pled not guilty, although I was, hoping to get it taken care of prior to a hearing. I didn't want to file guilty as I wanted to attempt to avoid this showing up on a background check. Between the time I entered my plea, and the time of the hearing, I have satisfied all owed taxes and the tax bureau has notified the district court of such. I have my hearing scheduled for tomorrow, and am not sure what to expect. Should I expect to be found guilty anyway, or is there a chance that the judge will, seeing that I have paid all fines and back taxes, find me not guilty? Should I ask for the case to be dismissed?
