Need to rent out a room in home. I am unsure about how to get started. I can find well-worded documents for lease and rental contacts but I don't know if I need to pay taxes on the rent or how to figure that amount. Is there a minimum amount of insurance I'm required to provide on the home beyond what I have? What accommodations MUST I provide in a shared home situation? How do I choose a good renter and check for bad ones?
