My question involves child support in the State of: Florida
Can anyone provide any guidance as to how to request an audit, or reconciliation, of a child support account?
Long story short, Clerk of Court's office, and Florida State Disbursement Unit agree on numbers, however...the Office of the Offset Coordinator (the folks who garnish your income tax returns), seem to be operating on a different set of numbers.
Spoke to clerk's office this morning, who said that balance as of this date is $31.75 remaining for March. Child support is paid via income deduction in the amount of $103.85/weekly, so next paycheck March is current and payments start being applied to April.
The clerk's office said the request would have to go through DOR, yet I can't find any information as to how to get this process started.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
