My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Michigan
In July of 2013 I went to an Urgent Care facility where during my visit was informed to go to the ER. 1 year and 7 months later I received a bill from the Urgent Care facility for services rendered. The date of the invoice was February 8th, 2015. I was under the impression that per State of Michigan Law they had 15 months to notify me of any charges I would be receiving and if it was after that than I was not required to pay. Can you offer some insight on the laws here in Michigan pertaining to paying this bill?
