My question involves a marriage in the state of: North Carolina
Recently, a building that my ex-husband and I owned jointly was sold. My ex-husband is a commercial realtor and he listed the property. I never signed a listing agreement with him. Another agent brought the buyer and has received a commission. The sale has closed and the funds are in escrow. My ex-husband insists that he should receive the listing side of the commission. However, I contend that he should not--since I never signed a listing agreement with him.
What is your advice on this?
