My question involves medical malpractice in the state of: VA 5 years ago I was referred to a pain management doctor who started me out on Roxycodone,Vicadens,Soma and clonazepam for my severe Chronic pain due to Fibromyalgia.I'm 38 and have had fibro since I was 14.I complained to my doc about the constant popping Roxys so he switched me to Methadone for"longer lasting relief"He kept Me on the clonazepam, and Somas but replaced the Vicadens with Duladins. When I first started going to my doctor I had a beautiful smile,a happy social life and an active family routine. After a year of seeing him my teeth started cracking & literally dissolving in my mouth.I continuously asked was it the methadone he insisted no.Fast forward five years to Feb2014 I found out a few days before my next appt. that my doctor had his license suspended for overprescribing pain medication among other things.I had to go thru 2months of Methadone withdrawal COLD TURKEY because no doctor would see me due to my doctors reputation.I was an excellent patient and had put my life and trust in this doctors hands and today I've lost all my teeth, suffer from shaking and many other issues due to the 20-10mg Methadones a day among other meds he prescribed me.The methadone DID indeed cause my teeth to fall out..I have no social life,do not go out,can only eat soft foods and suffer from severe depression because of this..Do I have any legal standing to sue my ex-doctor?Oh and he DID have his medical license revoked as of June last year and was on the local news too.Any help would be so greatly appreciated.Thank you!!
