Speeding Tickets: 3 Violations 1 Ticket

samedi 14 février 2015

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

I was pulled over last night for being stupid. Long story short is I needed to get home fast.

This took place in California, Santa Crus County on highway 129.

I passed three cars.. 2 cars then a final one. It was at night and all three were unmarked sheriff DEA agents. I was ticketed for doing 70 in a 45 zone (it's actually posted on the entire road as 55).

I don't dispute anything but my first question is about the 70 in a 45 when it was actually 55. Can I ask for the fine to be the correct amount? It will be a significant difference.

My second question is can I do anything about having the ticket tossed out of court because of this error?

I also was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.

The sheriff didn't mark on the ticket whether that was an infraction or misdemeanor for that.

Does that mean anything? Is that another error that could help me?

I was also cited for crossing a double solid yellow line (yeah I was a stupid ass).

I haven't had a moving violation in over 7 years. Is there anyway I can have the tickets reduced like only 2 points instead of 3 on my license. I'm sorry if they are dumb questions. I've never been ticketed for more than one offense at a time before and just want to reduce the overall cost, points or get lucky because of the errors and get the ticket tossed.
