Adjournments: Regarding a Request for a Trial by Written Declaration (Extension)

mercredi 3 septembre 2014

My question involves traffic court in the State of: California (San Francisco)

I have written a request for a trial by written declaration (not the TR-205) to give to a court clerk before my notice to appear due date, which should give me some time to review the evidence and prepare for the TR-205.

Questions:

-it seems that under Rule of Court 4.210 (b) (2) (4), I do not need to give any bail amount until the due date of my Trial by Declaration, is this correct? are they going to pretend it is not the case for SF?

-will I have to fill up any documents when I hand over the request? if so, which ones? do I need to enter a plea then or do I only enter a plea when I send my TR-205 (which seems more logical...)

-will they give me any form of acknowledgment that I showed up even if it is to ask for an extension? I don't want them to say I failed to appear...

Many thanks for your help.
