My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Missouri
I have a situation facing me that I've not dealt with before so I'm not sure what to do... I have been on a lease contract (with option to buy) since last year and it was good until May next year but I have decided to end the contract early as my brother bought a different house for me this week in another state and I am moving into it by the end of the month. My landlord has no issue with this, but my problem is that I decided to do a sub-lease on a small mother-in-law guest house that is behind the main one. I did a short-term lease with them, it started in July and we agreed to go through the 31st of October with no renewal and no switch over to a month-to-month basis, it was just a short-term rent. But now I am unsure of how to go about my move and how to deal with having to have them move by the end of this month as well.
My lease is set to now terminate on October 1st, the utilities weren't separate and are all scheduled to be shut off on the 30th and most on the 1st as well and I will be moved out about a week prior.
