My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Georgia.
My son’s father is currently incarcerated due to violating his probation. My son’s father was convicted of the following charges: domestic abuse (beat me up in front of our son), cruelty to children to the third degree and false imprisonment. As mentioned before, my son’s father is currently incarcerated and I am supposed to be notified before he will be released.
My question is in regards to custody and relocating myself and son to a safer environment. Can I petition to have full custody of my son due to the incidents that occurred? And what are the limitations to relocating to different state for safety reasons?
