Suspension and Revocation: License Suspended After Transferring to Different State

samedi 13 septembre 2014

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Pennsylvania and New York

I received points on my license in Pennsylvania for speeding and running a red light shortly before moving to New York state. I was informed of the points that I would get for speeding, but not for the red light violation. I completed my move to New York and transferred my Pennsylvania driver's license to New York.

I then received mail from Pennsylvania stating that I needed to complete a driving exam due to points accumulated from my red light violation. However, this mail was delivered very late due to my change of address, and was soon followed up by a letter stating that my Pennsylvania license is suspended and requesting that I mail in my Pennsylvania driver's license.

Now, I turned in my Pennsylvania driver's license when I applied for my New York license, before I received notification of suspension. I just checked the NY DMV website, and I have full driving privileges with no record.

Is there any action I need to take at this point? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
