My question involves an easement in the state of:North Carolina
I own a long, narrow property that is bisected by a small lake. The property is contiguous through the lake. My house is on one side of the lake with a deeded easement. However, the piece of land on the other side of the lake has no easement, but has historically (since the mid-1980's) been accessed via a private road that runs along the other side of the lake (to my property). Ownership changed and the new owner has blocked the road leading to my property by parking trailers, etc. on the road way. Do I have any legal right to use the road way to still access my property?
