My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
Long story, so short version. Last week my husband was arrested for domestic violent. The problem is that i called the police and filled out a police statement while medicated. My husband wouldn't hurt a fly! I had surgery 3 hrs prior and this happened after arriving home. I was heavily medicated. The anesthesia was still lingering, i had just had a shot of morphine and took a vicodin. I have all the paperwork from the hospital. I didn't react well to the meds and went a bit loopy. My husband had a few drinks at lunch during my suegery and he said i got upset. He did nothing wrong. I knew he was leaving the hospital during my surgery to run errands. He never hit me! Why i called 911 or accused him i dont remember. I dont even remember leaving the hosptial. There is a no contact order. I am freaking out. His atty doesn't think they will drop the charges!!!!! That is insane. I was obviously loopy and out of it. I over reacted and i have no clue what to do.
