My question involves independent contractors in the state of: Utah
I signed and submitted an offer letter for a indepented contractor position six days ago. The language of the letter does not state the position start or end dates, nor does it contain any information about the termination of the position. It basically outlines responsibilities, immediate reporting structure, benefits, and compensation. I have not yet received any compensation or benefits.
After one meeting, I have decided it was a mistake to accept the position. I would like to renege. Is this something I can do without legal liability. I realize reneging on the position will hurt my relationship with the company, but I am not concerned about that.
