My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Florida
My ex passed away in September of this year. Our 11 year old daughter was his only heir. Today I received some documents from the probate attorney his brother hired to handle the estate. Listed in the asset section, along with property etc., was a notation that there are "assets under seal pursuant to a court order." I tried googling the term but I didn't get very far.
What type of assets are usually put "under seal"? Can the probate judge issue an order to open them? I really don't even know what I'm asking here. Why would a person typically seal specific assets?
