Heirs and Beneficiaries: Can You Compel a Sibling:

My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Florida

I am a beneficiary of a small estate in Summary Administration with my brother (we are not on good terms) which there is a small amount of money to be realized and divided. Problem is that he will not participate (sign) the amended (judges call to strike a line in the original app) application to submit to the court because of a small amount of antique furniture left to divide that is more sentimental than valuable ($3500.00 and I've made several proposals to divide but to no avail. I have children and grand kids who deserve a piece of our family legacy of which I will divide with my brother and rightly so however, I will not sell what would be settled on should that division take place. An estate sale to me is out of the question for my portion.

Question is, can I compel action on his part to participate? The insurance checks have lapsed once due to no action and having to be re-issued. I suppose this could happen over and over before coming to some stopping point whatever that is....

Thanks!
