My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: MD
I pay for a parking spot at my apartment in the suburbs of DC, Prince George's County. My car was towed from the lot yesterday for not having up to date DMV tags (the month and year on the back of your license plate).
I looked through my parking agreement (which was signed 6 months ago), and the only stipulation warranting a tow is when you do not display your parking permit - which I was.
Furthermore, with a bit of preliminary research, it seems MD SB401 lays out regulations that my lot owner does not meet (lot must display signs with cost information about the tow, spaced a certain distance apart), AND the tow company does not meet (the tow company was not open on Sunday, law dictates they must give me access 24/7).
I am willing to invest more time and money than necessary in this, just to make a point. Does it sound like I have a case, both against the tow company and my landlord?
Thanks
