Trademarks: Using Domain Name of Undissolved Corp No Longer in Business in Another State

I registered a made-up .com domain name containing the word "book" in it without knowing that there was once a NY company that operated with the this exact .com domain for about a year from 2010 to 2011. Their corporation is listed as Active in NY business entity search, but the name is not trademarked, and they are not in business. Their site when it was active dealt with textbooks, and mine is more of a general book site. I'm in California. Can I keep this domain name?
