My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of:Nevada
I was driving in a two lane road with double yellow lines following a truck pulling trailer. The truck merged over double yellow into left lane with no blinker. I thought something was wrong until I noticed he continued driving for some distance. So I continued in my lane and as I began to pass he made a right turn into my car.Never looking to see if any car was next to him. The right front corner bumper of his truck hit behind left rear door down left qtr panel to bumper. I'm sure he did not use blinker because when he had merged into left lane earlier he would have turn right blinker on immediately to alert me he was turning right. He was not paying attention and was unaware of vehicles around him.
I took photo's of both cars and the road where accident occurred. No one was hurt so we did not contact police. We exchanged info and left. The problem now is his insurance is denying my claim stating that his statement says he used his turn signals. Doesn't matter if there were any other traffic violations and that no one from his insurance came out to investigate my claim. They are only going by word of mouth and because he is there insured they believe him and are closing my claim.
Has anyone ever heard of this before and what can I do to have this taken care of. I am not to blame. Is there any laws that protect me?
