My question involves a marriage in the state of: Florida
I am trying to fill out paperwork for an uncontested divorce here in the state of Florida. This has been unbelievably complicated due to the fact I had children with another man after my husband and I were separated but while we are still legally married. My husband and I are very good friends still and are both totally cooperative. He is well aware the children are not his (not at all possible), and the father of the children is well aware they are his. No one in this situation is confused or questioning anything. The problem is not understating which paperwork to fill out. I first paid someone I found online $100 to prepare my papers for me. He sent me a total of 10 or more forms including a simplified dissolution of marriage for those with NO minor children. That is the form it says you should use online because of the fact our children are not common to both parties. When I went to my court date I was told I need to amend my petition to include the children... that form says it is only to be used for children common to both parties but there IS a spot on it to list children who are not common to both parties. Does anyone know what I should be doing? I appreciate in advance any help you can give me!!
Thanks Melissa
