My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Florida
Details as to why I desire to be emancipated: My mom and dad had a custody battle and my dad won. at the time I thought it was for the best being as my mom spent child support on her boyfriend and drank every night but about a year after custody, my dad started verbally abusing me and stalking and threatening my friends and boyfriend, he became extremely controlling and demands I tell him everything, let him go through my things as he pleases, and says he will move me out of the small town I live in whenever he wants which removes my stability. I have not lived with him yet, he comes home for a week every month even though he has custody.
My aunt has power of attorney and I am almost sixteen. My boyfriend and his father are able to house me and I will have a job and my permit very soon and my GPA is a 2.9, that being said would I meet the criteria for emancipation in Florida if my aunt were to sign for it?
