My question involves insurance law for the state of: PA
Im not sure if I'm putting this in the correct place but...I am on a new program where everyone in the state over 21 that makes less than $1400 a month gets health insurance from private insurers but financed by the state. Anyway im on a medication that I cant go without, so my doctor suggested we fill out a health sustaining medication form , to insure there would be no gaps in my coverage. I sent the form into the state and they received it. A few months later my insurance was cut by the state!! After lots of calls they determined it was cut by mistake because they received my health sustaining medication form but it wasn't put into their computer as it should of been. They immediately put me back on the access ins. Program but that one did not cover my medication. It took nearly 2 months to get everything resolved. In that time I've basically bank rupted myself paying out of pocket..is there any legal action I can take to get my money back since it shouldnt of been cut in the first place!?
