Am a Swiss citizen, naturalized US Citizen in 1961 and left for Hong Kong in 1969. Never resided in the US after that. Abandoned my US citizenship in 1982 to move back to Switzerland. Am planning to take residence in the US because of health reason of my spouse a US-born citizen.
Do not believe that there was requirement for Form 8854 in 1982 but would like to know what will be required of me on this matter on arrival to the US (have been waiting for more than 1 year for visa).
