When I first came here seven years ago I was looking for some obscure information on an arcane type of easement.
I actually found it and it was a great help. Having almost thirty years as a licensed surveyor at that point, I had the intention of giving something in return, which I have tried to do, particularly about easements and boundary issues.
It has been a good experience until the last few years. Initially, the board was well moderated, but that has fallen off noticeably to nearly nothing. Over time, at least three other licensed surveyors have contributed much value to the board, but they are all gone now. They were frustrated out by the now acceptable level of trolling, stalking, and shrillness. Looks like I am the last to leave. I tried my best.
I can only assume at this point that the forum sees no more value in a poster who is a licensed professional, than someone who is licenced by, say, the BMV.
I have no real problem with that as it seems to be where the internet is headed.
