My question involves insurance law for the state of: Oregon. I am under 18, so I was on my mothers insurance. However, I would give her 100$ a month to help pay my part. I was then in a car accident, like most teenagers are, and I found out by the police officer that my insurance had been cancelled. I was very shocked and confused because I have been giving my mother money for my insurance every month but apperanly she wasn't paying it, and just keeping the money for herself. I then got a letter in the mail saying my license is suspended for a year. Is there anything I can do to get my lisence back since I thought I was paying for insurance? I know I have a crappy mom, but do I really get screwed over even more by getting my license taken away when I really did nothing wrong??
