My question involves paternity law for the State of: Arkansas
My baby is 8 months old. To make a long story short and less complicated, I am wanting to find out if it would be hard to change a baby's last name if the father DOES consent and we are still together. We are not married, but all bills and everything medical-related I handle for the baby. I researched and it mentioned that I would have to have a good reason in wanting to change his last name, so I was not sure how to go about it or if this would be a good reason.
Also, if the courts do approve the last name change to mine, how much more difficult down the road would it be to change the baby's last name again, if/when we got married?
