My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Alaska
In my custody battle, there was a GAL appointed. Final custody is in November and I really want this GAL removed. She is VERY bias. She has also lied on court paperwork several times and has failed to conduct and/or investigate any thing that I have brought to her attention. Now she is telling the court that I am an unreliable reporter because none of the things I have said can be substantiated. It very well could have been, had she done her job. She said that the reason for her being on my ex's side, is because she believes that he is at such great risk over allegations that were made by me, even though its not being considered in the court room. The "best interest" standard no longer applies to this case because a DNA test was done and proved that my ex was not the dad. SO, to standard that is being applied now, is parent vs. non parent. Since the best interest is no longer applied, shouldn't the GAL be off the case anyways? she has not acted or done anything in the best interest of my daughter. all she has done, is go through confidential records and rarely ever visits. she really has not done anything but try her hardest to find something wrong with me and not him. everything I say, she instantly sticks up for him. its been a year with this wicked, cold hearted, bias lady and I'm fed up. I want her gone. what can I possibly do? also, I have a settlement hearing in a week, does she have to be there for that to? if I don't want her there, she shouldn't be there. will what I want matter?
