My question involves traffic court in the State of: WA
I have a court hearing for speeding ticket this week. This might come down to my word versus the Officer's sworn statement (yes, I know odds of my winning are low). Assuming the Judge is not convinced with my argument, I would like to request for Deferment, which allows the ticket from being shown in my records for 7 years.
My questions are about how to prepare for deferment? Whom Should I address it to (Prosecutor or Judge)? What types of information do I need to provide in order to convince them to give me Deferment (I don't have a traffic ticket in over 20 years of driving)?
Thanks!
