My question involves child support in the State of: KY
My Husband goes to court tomorrow for modification of child support and mom and attorney are trying to calculate health insurance in. Question 1: it states in their court ordered agreement signed in may that mom would carry health insurance (because husband is in the army and has a great plan for a reasonable price) and that only if it becomes unavailable to her should we have to purchase health insurance for her. Can they still calculate this into child support if the agreement says that she will carry it?
If she is able to charge, next question: the army offers two policies. Sponsor and sponsor plus family. So, my stepdaughter is not adding any extra premium by being on the plan because they have another child and another on the way, but her attorney is stating that her portion is the premium divided by 4 (soon to be 5). If she isn't adding any extra to the plan, can they charge that amount for her portion?
Just a few questions before he heads into court. Thank you
