My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: California
On July 28th 2013 I got in a car accident with my mothers car which I was not covered under her insurance(excluded). I was coming out of an apartment complex and lost control with the wide turn and hit a parked car. No one was in the car and I had just turned 18. I hit the left side of the car so only the left side bumper and tire were damaged. The car I hit didn't have insurance. It's a 1996 jeep Cherokee they keep calling me telling me I need to pay them $5,000 for the damage of the car. They'are driving the car around but won't stop threatening me. I told them my mechanic would fix the car but their insisting on the money, the damage my mechanic quoted me for was $650.00 what should I do? Also, my license is being suspended is their anything I can do for it not to get suspended? In the letter of suspension it says the property damage of over $750 I can get my license suspended but in my case the damage isn't over $750. What can I do??!
