Warranties: 5 Months Since Warranty Was Promised

vendredi 19 septembre 2014

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: California.

I will try to make this story as short as possible however, a lot of information as it as built up over the past 5 months.

I started a warranty replacement with the company back in May. I was within the time period and for a covered manufacturer defect. I actually contacted the manufacturer first and they said it is covered but i have to go through the company which I purchased it from. I contacted them and started the process, I gave a deposit of $69.99 and all my information for the warranty. They shipped out the replacement a couple days later. After checking the tracking number I noticed it is going to a completely different state and I called them immediately, the customer service rep told me it is not their department and they cannot help me. I called back everyday to try and get the package redirected and no one could help me. I also contacted the shipping company but they said they cannot do anything without the companies approval .

This is where it gets complicated, after the package was delivered to where ever it was delivered. The company ignored me. I called day after day to get a answer on what is going on and was told everyday that I will get a call back before the end of day and I never did. After a week of constant calling I decide to take it to the message system on the website. After 5 months of messaging back and fourth I have still not received my replacement and they will not refund my deposit of $69.99. The company has also lied to me about certain things, as I found out when I called one day and the person told me completely different things they were telling me all the other times as to what was the problem, after I told that customer service rep that all the other customer service reps were lying to me before and he unveiled the truth he hung up on me.

My question is what do i do? This has caused me so much irritation, just trying to get a answer from them it is like pulling teeth. They are a big company but I can't seem to get anything from them. It has even raised my blood pressure by having to deal with them. Please help me.
