Change of Ownership: Does the Landlord Have to Be the Owner of the House

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of:

Hi,

I have learned some new information about the house that I am renting and about my landlord. I did sign a yearly lease but never received a copy of the lease and have asked on multiple occasions for a copy of the lease and I keep getting excuses on why he can't provide me with a copy. Also I just recently found out by doing some research on the property the man I am paying rent to, my landlord, is not even the owner of the house like I was originally told. He is also renting the house from one of his relatives, but I know in the lease he said he was the owner of the house, would this default the lease because of fault pretenses? I have also learned that my landlord's cousin, the actual owner of the house, has filed two eviction notices against him. If the landlord gets kicked does this mean I will be kicked out as well since I am paying him and not the actual owner?
