My question involves a traffic accident in the State of: Massachusetts. I recently got into a collision with another car in my own driveway. I have a double wide driveway that only fits 1 car deep. My car was the only one in the driveway and was parked on the left side. As I was starting to reverse a woman pulled into my driveway at an angle on my right side where she was not visible in the rear view. After checking the rear view I was turned to my left to face the direction of coming traffic when we lightly tapped - my rear right side/her front driver side. She told me she pulled into my driveway and didn't see me in the car. The damage to both cars was minimal, it appeared to be just paint so no cops were called. She ended up filing a claim against my insurance and I am wondering if there is some way I could be found at fault?
I am the last house on my road so cars frequently pull in to reverse direction, which is what I think she was doing though she never outright said that. She couldn't have been parking as she was behind me with the back of her car in the road, not parked in the empty spot beside me. My car remained entirely in the driveway.
