My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Calfornia
I work for a large multinational. Due to the recent org changes, I fear that I could be laid off since I am older and
highly compensated employee and also have been with the same company for 21 years.
My company typically gives good severance (close to 1 year salary).
I feel that I could be unfairly targeted due to race/age and also for making more than most of the other employees.
In the event of a layoff, should I take the package and sign the waiver or fight?
If I don't sign the waiver can I negotiate more - for example prorated bonus for this year.
My greatest worry is not able to find an equivalent job in case of a layoff.
