My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California.
Is there a legal process or definition of a landlord's agent? Right now I am working with some people who are dealing with a guy playing fast and loose it seems with the term "agent." If one of the landlord's buddies does something out of line or oversteps his bounds the landlord just calls that guy an "agent" so the mistake is no longer that of a random person, say, making requests of or bothering tenants or putting notes on vehicles but instead now "official landlord business" via someone the tenants have no way of knowing is an "agent" or not.
