My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Kentucky
It's me again, back with great news! I had a car accident on the interstate, I had 3 passengers with me, we were driving and a semi was driving about 60-65 mph, and I decided to go around him. The great truck driver decides to pull in front of me, no blinker, nothing. He just brilliantly pulls out in front of me for no reason ( he wasn't passing anyone. ) :) Oh, I love smart drivers. I pressed my brakes, where it had been raining a lot lately I started to drift on the interstate and barely missed the guard rail and ended up in a ditch. It was one of the softest landings for what it was. I could not imagine a 5 year old being hurt in the accident, but somehow one of the people I was with was hurt. She said her back was hurting so we had to call 911 and the ambulance came and got her. She went to X-rays and now she is pregnant and they might lose the baby and they are going to do an ultra sound.
The two guys I was with were 100% fine ( so they said ) then all of a sudden they were like ohhh we're hurt too!!! the adrenaline wore off take us to the hospital. They pulled muscles supposedly. So now I took them to the hospital. My question is, what is the worst case scenario? They all 3 have insurance/medicaid and I only have 10,000 injury coverage. I asked my insurance company is that per person or per incident total? and they said we don't know, talk to the case manager ( which has not returned my call for over 3 hours now, isn't that great? ) So I can't get a hold of the lady to ask important questions, so now I have to find out what to do. It was a no fault accident since I did not hit anyone, who is responsible for the excess of 10k? can I be sued for any reason? if so will my insurance company take care of it? and will there insurance take care of any extra costs over 10k?
thanks.
Edit: I just want to add again that I can't imagine anyone could've been hurt. I was the driver and I landed the car down so perfectly, I feel great, I could jog 10 miles right now... I need to stop dealing with people.
