My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: Florida
I recently purchased a new truck, was driven to my bank and I purchased it with cashiers check for 2,500. Received a bill of sale signed by both parties and he received one as well. End up week later going to my dmv with the bill of sale and my other paperwork only to be told my bill of sale was a copy and i needed the original. Been trying to contact the old owner for 2 weeks so i could receive the bill of sale he has that must be the original, he took my first phone call and said he would look for it but he seems to screening my calls know, is there any way to get a title transfer and a tag for the vehicle or am i basically sunk? I mean i have a copy of the bill of sale i payed with a cashiers check at my bank so it is easy to verify seems ridiculous that this guy ignore me means i can never drive my vehicle which seems destined to be a paperweight in my yard :grumpy:
