My question involves criminal law for the state of: tennessee - I had a very successful attorney out of Nashville, Tn tell me recently that "Possesion is 9/10 of the law". Is that generally still true? Can a jurisdiction seize property in a vehicle during a non-related incident, and gain a search warrant to the back of a locked camper shell and find merchandise that no one has reported stolen(some had receipts, some did not) and assume that it is stolen, even though none of the merchandise in question has serial numbers to trace and no one has reported items as stolen. Thanks for your help.
