Custody and Visitation Issues: Sibling Visitation Rights

dimanche 18 janvier 2015

I am 20 years old and my parents are very unstable as far as decisions for their children go. In September of 2013 they decided that I was no longer aloud to see my 5 and 9 year old siblings. I have not seen them since.

I have no criminal record, I am mentally stable and my parents have no justifiable reason as to why I am no longer aloud to see them. They have informed one of my relatives that it is because of the man that I'm dating. I find that interesting considering my boyfriend has no criminal record, has been psychologically evaulted twice for a 730 evaluation, and is found to be the best choice for primary parent of his own two children.

I have attempted several times throughout this time period asking if I could see the children. I have received no response to my calls, voicemails, or text messages.

My parents checked in the last almost 10 years and I had to practically raise my siblings. I was a very important role in my siblings lives and it is killing me to not see them. They are practically like my children.

I live in the state of California and have scoured the Internet for some form of law or code for sibling visitation rights. I have found nothing other than it just depends on the judge. I need help, I really do. I am exhausting all of my options here and have found nothing, I don't know what else to do. I have already been informed from other relatives that I will not see them again until they turn 18, and "by then they probably won't even remember you." Please somebody help me.
