Disabilities and Accommodation: Can I Qualify for Flma or Unemployment

jeudi 15 janvier 2015

The company I was hired to work for was bought out and every employee, me included, was given a chance to get hired on as a permeant employee with a third party company. My manager took me to the side and asked if I would come and work for him at the new base company and told me my hire date would be the same as if I were to go and work for the third party company. I agreed that I would like to stay with the base company but after thought turned my application in with the third party company to see what kind of opportunity it might hold. I was denied an interview with the third party company due to my manager insisting I was to be hired by him. This all took place 3 months after I started working and I am now looking at being there 6 and a half months and am still not hired. Shortly after I began work with this company I found out I was pregnant. I have not told my employer that I am expecting yet because I have been hoping to do so over signing papers as a full time employee. My hire date has been pushed back three times now and the newest of promised dates will only give me 2 months at most until my due date.

I know I am to blame partially for my situation but I am wanting to know if I can hold them accountable or what action I can take to make sure I have a job to come back to after having the baby or to me help qualify for unemployment?
