My question involves small claims court in the state of: Texas
Hello - my housekeeper stole clothing from me. I noticed items were missing 3 days after she last worked for me and thought I would ask her about them the next time she worked. Then she unexpectedly quit on me (she had worked for me for 5 months). A couple of days later I was packing for a trip and could not find any of my new clothing (about 10 pieces total). Nobody else had been in my home. Can I sue her in small claims court? Will I win? I realize it is a small amount of money but I feel violated because I thought we were friends. Another reason I know it was her is because we are the exact same size - size medium tall and size 8 tall.
