My question involves a child custody case from the State of: CA

I have been separated from my childrens father a little over a year now we had an agreement where he would only keep them on the weekends because he has two jobs and tends to only have sundays off but his aunt would watch them. He hasn't seen them in two months since Child support pay went up he told my kids he didn't want anything w them but now he is pulling the hole hes gonna take me to court to take the children from me I have a full time job have my own place but sometimes I lack child care and they tend to stay home alone at times their ages are 8, 6, 5 but all three know the rules no answering the door my oldest keeps in touch w me at all times she has a cell phone and every 2 hours I do my rounds of going to the apartment when they don't go to school and during school days they stay home alone 2 hours I live in the same place im employed plus she knows how to cook and all three know how to make food to eat that doesn't involve using the stove I have a list of in case of emergencies and emergency exit picture. As for him he has 2 jobs works mon-sat from 7am - 8pm hes gotten calls from school for the kids and he never goes or answers he has me do it. he also lives in a 2 bedroom house w his aunt and uncle he doesn't have legal document which I know don't have much effect in a custody case but I also have had an issue where I want to get a restraining order against him because he threatens to ruin and destroy me and that he will do whatever it takes to take them away from me. well my question to this what are my chances of being able to obtain full custody of my children and with all the threats would I be able to get a restraining order against him. I have all the text messages of his threats and all the things he says about not wanting to see the children.
