My mother and I are living in a two bedroom apartment. Her lease is up in August and she will renew. She is very messy and is a pathological liar. She has used my computer and when I question her about it, she lies. Even after I show her the history, she does not admit to it. She may tell a family member my business, and they tell me, but she will never admit to it.
I would like to know if it would be possible to draft a contract that says we both must pay our halves of the rent, we both must stay out of eachothers private areas (bathroom and bedroom and closet), and that any violation of privacy stated previously can result in a fine.
So let's say she goes into my room and uses some of my lotion. This would be considered a violation of privacy. If she goes on my computer, even under a guest account, this would be a violation of privacy. I plan on having a camera running at all times when someone is in the apartment in my bedroom.
Could it be made that if it is proven that one person has violated this contract, they may be immediately fined?
