My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: California
I just went to traffic court to dispute my speeding ticket (80mph in 65). I was found guilty and order to pay the fine, but the judge also tacked on a 2 week suspension. It's my 3rd ticket in the past 2 years. I'm guessing he did it to make a point.
Anyway, I know the judge has discretion when making these rulings, but this one seems a bit harsh and unnecessary because by the time DMV gets the suspension in their system, it will be reinstated.. What are your thoughts on this matter? Have you seen a 2 week suspension? Do I stand a chance at appealing or do you think I should just suck it up and pay the reinstatement fees in 2 weeks?
