My question involves an easement in the state of:Virginia
Last year I signed a new easement with our local electric co-op for new line construction in our area. Most of the construction was upgrading lines in an already existing easements on neighboring property. My new easement moved the electric line from crossing a large body of water to a shorter span. There was no easement granted to a cable company that used the old right of way on neighboring property to supply other customers(not me). Construction was finished a few months ago leaving only the old cable company's line crossing this body of water. The old right of way does not exist any more and the cable company is now faced with moving their line to my right of way. Can I deny this cable company a right of way?
