Consumer Law Issues: The Buying of Alcahole in Ohio

lundi 13 octobre 2014

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: ohio

I went into krogers with a friend so he can do some shopping and I did a little shopping myself. A few of his friends who I do not know .

we went to the check self check out and his friends were done to and came to same side of the self checkout. and when I rang up my

4pack of alcohol the cashier asked for the id's of all who were checking out . instead of asking me since I was buying it, she asked the

friends of my friend who were there too. I was denied the alcohol and i'm well over 21 and my friend is 25 , he did not have his id with

him . I feel like they did me wrong.

they said its the law to ask everyone in a group for there id if 1 person in group is buying alcohol.

I explained to them that we were not together and they said I could not buy it .I found out when I got home all of my friends friends were over 21.

is there any actions I can take ?

that was embarrising, all the custermers were staring at what was going on.

I know selling or buying alcohol to/for miners can set you up for jail time.

what should/can I do about this?

what does ohio state law say about this?
