My question involves guardianship in the State of: Louisiana
I am 16 years old and I make 17 in 6 months. My father mentally, emotionally, and physically abuses me. He constantly degrades me and brings me down. He is very controlling, and not like the regular father against teenage girl controlling. I am talking about I can only eat two sandwiches a day ( he counts the bread and meat), I cant have a phone, I cant watch TV, I cant go on the computer, I just cant do anything. I reported everything to my guidance couselar and she contacted the state and they told me that i don't have any physical evidence, so they cant really help. I also talked to a police officer, and he said that once I make 17 and can leave out of the house, as long as I stay in school, but I have been researching this to make sure, and all the information that I have gathered is contradicting. Can somebody please help me?
