My question involves a marriage in the state of: CA
My husband and I accumulated over $300,000 in assets during our 6 year marriage, including a family run business and a vacation home. Neither property has any liens on it. However, my husband has generated a loan document back dated to before we purchased the business and vacation home that promises to repay his uncle the sum of 380,000 that he claims was loaned to him before we were married. I know the document is fake, but his attorney has submitted the document to the court claiming that there are no marital assets. Should I just give up even though I know it is a fake? How can I prove that it is a fake when his uncle will testify that it is genuine? I'm afraid that I will get nothing in the divorce even though I slaved 6 years in our business and he will get out of paying child support. Thank you for any help.
